A Partially True Biography

On Friday afternoon I cleaned out Jacob's backpack and came across a poster that Jacob had made in school. It was a poster that he had filled out that asked questions and then he was supposed to answer them. It went something like this......
Just the facts: I am 9 years old and I am in the 4th grade. My teacher is Mrs. Burkhardt. The members of my family are me, mom, dad, Emily, Kelsey and Kendall. Some of my friends are Mason and Kaleb. My birthday is July 26, 2001.

A few of my favorite things: P.E., baseball and peaches.

My favorite book of all time is: Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Last Straw.

My Hero: Tim Weber (He is the pilot for the Geico plane who performs in air shows, Jacob met him last summer.)

Something you might not know about me: I love snowboarding. (He has never been snowboarding, he wants my brother Brett to take him.)

My mini-autobiography: One time when I was 7 years old, I was snowboarding and I jumped and hit a rock and I broke my leg and my snowboard. (fiction)
I asked Jacob about the fictional parts and he said he thought it made his biography more interesting. Thankfully his teacher didn't ask about his broken leg, that would have been quite the tale to tell.

5 Months

This sweet little girl is 5 months old already. She is growing up too fast for her mom. At Kendall's 4 month check-up she weighed 22.6 pounds. She has decided that riding in the car isn't quite so bad. Emily does a great job of entertaining her in the car. This month Kendall has started to sit a little on her own.She loves her baths and has decided her thumb is a pretty good thing to suck on.This was her first time trying out her little booster seat. She sits in it every night at dinner and gets a little meal along with the family.First taste of bananas.Kendall is getting quite a bit bigger than her little brown bear. She isn't sleeping through the night yet and still thinks that she must have a meal by 3 a.m. Pretty quick she will be moving on out of her mom and dad's room and into her own room. We all just really love this little girl.
