Still Snowing.......

It's so pretty out right now.....I wish we'd get snow like this more often.

My New Office

These are pictures of my new office at work. Dr. Kim and I spent DAYS putting together all of this furniture from IKEA. I think it turned out pretty nice. We still have to hang up pictures, but it is coming together nicely I think.

Snow Day

We have been having little "dustings" of snow here in Gig Harbor for the last couple of days. The kids were off yesterday, but the snow melted before they could have a chance to play in it. Today there was just enough snow for the kids to sled in the neighborhood.

Kelsey was either texting or talking on the phone half the time she was sledding.

Emily and her friend Mikaela had a great time.

My nephew Trevor and Jacob also had a blast.

I tried only one attempt to slide down the hill on one of those little sleds. Some how I turned completely around at the top of the hill, and went down backwards the whole way. This was also after I had just slipped with my legs flying in the air and landing on my back and bottom in front of quite a few of the neighborhood children. I'm sure they all had a good laugh at my expense!

A Little Snow Ball....

Kelsey had a friend sleep over last night. We had a light dusting of snow and they rolled the whole side yard into one giant snow ball. They left it sitting in this chair behind the garage door for me to back over, along with all the wet mittens they went through.

Happy 11th Birthday Emily!

Didn't I just give birth to this child like 5 years ago? Someone please tell my children to stop growing up so fast!

Emily's birthday request was to go to dinner alone without Kelsey and Jacob. We took her to Fondi's Pizza and her good friend Mikaela came along too.

Then we went over to Nana and Papa's house for some cake and presents.

Happy Birthday to my NOT so little Emily!
We LOVE you!!!

Haircuts

The boys really needed their haircut......so out came my clippers and scissors this morning.

I think Trevor was a little nervous that his Aunt was going to be the one cutting his hair.

This was the conversation that took place between the two of us:

Trevor: "Who taught you how to cut hair?"
Aunt Jamie: "No one taught me, I've just been doing it for a long time."
Trevor: "Who did you practice on?"
Aunt Jamie: "Mostly your Uncle Mike at first, then I started cutting every one's hair in the family."
Trevor: "Have you ever cut anyone before?"
Aunt Jamie: "No. The only one I have cut is myself."
Trevor: "Oh, okay."
Trevor: (about 1 minute later) "Are you sure you have never cut anyone before?"
This conversation repeated over and over through the whole haircut.....I don't think he believed me. You would have thought I was Edward Scissor Hands or something.

If I say so myself.....these two look mighty handsome. I'm glad I didn't take any body's ear off. Whew!

Last night I checked on the boys before I went to bed, this is what I found Jacob doing to Trevor in his sleep. Mike thought I'd wake them up with the flash.....thankfully they slept through me just having to capture the moment.

Sleep tight Mr. McKean and Mr. Layton!

Fun With Our Cousin

My nephew Trevor came to stay with us for the weekend. Jacob and Trevor have been having a blast together. The boys are only 1 month apart. The day started off with an indoor soccer game for Jacob.....Trevor did lots of cheering for the team. Then we had lunch at Costco and then went to the park.

Mike got a pain in his neck after this.....we're getting old!

The cousins.

Buds.

We hope we get to see Trevor more often, we've had a great time with you buddy.
