CaringBridge Website For My Dad

My Dad's health has been declining and I have decided to create a website for him on CaringBridge. This site is for people who have serious health complications in their lives. For those of you who are unaware of what has been taking place, you can click on "My Story". To get recent updates you can click on "Journal". Your prayers are welcome and needed at this time.

Bad Hair

This is what happens when you let your uncle Brett style your hair. Jacob has been "growing" his hair out. He seems to think that if he grows it kind of long, he will get an Afro. I've had to explain several times to him that it doesn't work that way. I told him the only way he will get curly hair is if we give him a perm....so now he wants one. Sorry buddy, I don't think it's gonna happen. I'll be coming after him tonight with my scissors.

4.0

Miss Em received an award today for having a 4.0 for the first semester of school. We are very proud of her for working so hard. It had been a goal of hers and we are so happy for her that she was able to achieve it. Kelsey just missed the award and brought home a 3.945 on her report card. Great job girls, you make us very proud!!!

Too Much Novocain

I had a not so wonderful visit to the dentist this morning, which involved a little too much Novocain. It seems a little over done when half your nose goes numb straight down the middle.

Music Ensemble

Emily was in a music ensemble today. She and her friend Fiona played a duet on their flutes. The instructor told them that they both were doing a very nice job and was surprised that they have been only playing since the end of September.

The ensemble was held at Stadium High School in Tacoma. This is the high school where they filmed one of our favorite movies, 10 Things I Hate About You. This is a public school and there are views over looking the Puget Sound throughout most of the school.

Adios Braces

September 2007

Kelsey had her braces removed this morning. She has had them on since the week before Thanksgiving 2007. She was very excited until I told her I wanted to take before and after pictures. She informed me that I had plenty of 'before' pictures and that she didn't like it that I document everything. She managed to force a few smiles for me. It's kind of amazing to see how much my baby has grown up on me in 2 and 1/2 years.
